Dubsmash is a video messaging application created back in year 2014. The application allows users to lip sync (also known as dubbing) over audio files from songs, movies etc. Because of its novelty and the comedic effect it brings along, the application went viral and has since been downloaded million of times. Singapore was not spared from the Dubsmash phenomenon too. In fact, it is really common to see videos on social media of people dubsmash-ing (or lip syncing if you prefer) every now and then. Here at Instantly.my, we are bringing dubsmash-ing one step further. Instead of just restricting dubsmash-ing to a mobile application, our Dubsmash Booth will now allow your guests to dubsmash and receive a fully custom branded Dubsmash video instantly at your event. How Does Our Dubsmash Booth Works
Position yourself in front of our camera. With our live view monitor in front of you, you can see yourself in real time. Pose and position accordingly. If you wish, grab a friend or two to join you.
When ready, our friendly assistant will activate our Dubsmash camera. Instantly, the recording process* will start. Lyrics of the song will be displayed in the screen in front of you. Lip sync to the audio (coming from our system), dance, and just get your swag on! You can see the recording process via a progress bar on the screen.
After you are done with your recording, you can immediately preview the Dubsmash video that was being recorded. Next, proceed out of our Dubsmash Booth. Our second assistant will then assist you with regards to emailing the Dubsmash video to yourself.

Upon arriving at our booth, your guests will be able to choose to either take a photo or record a Dubsmash video. Features included for our photo booth service can be found HERE. Please note that this price of $400 is only for 2 hours of photo booth capability add on. For every additional hour, price is at $110. Also, in such case, the Dubsmash video overlay design will be adapted from the photo booth printout design.
For our Dubsmash Video Booth service, we will arrive 1.5 hours beforehand to set up.
We will require the following logistics:
- A space of 3m by 3m
- Space to be near to a power point
- 2 tables. 1 for props, 1 for our printer
- If you or your venue is not able to provide this. Kindly let us know. We will prepare our own tables accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does your Dubsmash Booth comes with an actual videographer?
No. Our Dubsmash Booth uses our own custom Dubsmash Booth software to capture the video. We’ve created our Dubsmash Booth software such that your guests can see themselves live in the monitor positioned in front of them. As such, they can pose and position themselves accordingly. We will always have one Dubsmash Booth assistant present on site to guide your guests accordingly. Once all is good, he/she will start the recording process via activation of our software.
How long will it take before my guests can email the Dubsmash video they’ve taken to themselves?
Generally speaking, a Dubsmash video will be made available for your guests to email it to themselves within 1 minute. However, do note that as the duration of the recorded Dubsmash video increases, more time will be needed to process the Dubsmash video. As a result, the time taken before your guests can email the Dubsmash video to themselves will increase.
